Fallout 3:
Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 30 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear war that devastated the game's world.

This time around you take control over the player from vault 101. This player you create yourself. You pick the gender, race and appearance. The main story begins right when you are born. Goes from infant to you're tenth birthday, sixteenth year to finally age nineteen where the game play starts rolling.

Every action you take has consequences so that itself makes things all the more interesting and more replay value. This game goes off of good and bad karma. My first play through I was the nice guy and helped everybody I could and even gave the poor some water. Doing this made people like me more and when in conversation with certain NPC's I was given extra speech options. The nice thing about playing it like a white knight is you get more information on whatever it is your after.

Being bad though does have it's nice perks though. One really great option is being able to blow up a town called Megaton and watch from afar at the damage you cause. Just don't expect returning to a very nice view of the destruction you caused. You can kill any NPC's during quests or after them. Being bad I prefer completing the quests, getting my rewards and putting a bullet in the heads of any and all people afterwards. Yes you can massacre an entire town, village, vault without using a nuke.

You battle your way through the game with all sorts of creatures and humans. The main types you come across are Super Mutants, Raiders and Enclave Soldiers.

A very useful item you get to use through the whole game is called The Pip-Boy 3000.

A hand-held electronic device produced by RoboCo Industries and is one of several Pip-boy models that were issued as standard to Vault-Tec Vaults. The device has numerous functions, and its capable of displaying the character's stats, area maps, inventory, Geiger counter, and radio. It is also possible to illuminate the screen to a level that is sufficient to light the area immediately around the user, acting as a makeshift lantern in darkened areas.

Combat even has nice perk that can be used through the game and the more action points you have the better. This system is call V.A.T.S. (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) When using V.A.T.S. against a humanoid enemy, there are generally seven different areas that are targetable; the head, torso, left arm, right arm, currently held weapon, left leg, and right leg. However, there may be other points available when specifically facing off non-humanoid creatures (I.E. Bloatfly wings, Ant's Antenna). When targeting a part, the screen displays a percentage of how likely the attack will hit the targeted area based on distance from the target, and combat skill. Unlike previous Fallout games, it is not possible to target the eyes or groin nor target any individual body parts in melee and unarmed combat, however there is a seemingly random chance to decapitate and slice off the limbs of the enemy even though you cannot aim for specific parts.

Also no need to fight alone. Depending on your karma you can get certain people to join you to fight the good or bad fight. So far I noticed you can have up to two people at once fighting along with you. Very useful when you want to save ammo or take out enemies quicker.

Yes you can even bring a dog along in your travels.

If you enjoy the work done by Bethesda Softworks (The people who made The Elder Scrolls) then you will expect nothing but great game play and excellent graphics.
