Killzone 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and continued on the PlayStation Portable with Killzone: Liberation. The game was first announced at E3 2005, with a tech demo on display, while the first gameplay footage was shown two years later at E3 2007. Killzone 2 was released worldwide late February 2009.

Reviews of the game were largely positive, while pre-orders of the game topped over 1.1 million units in Europe alone.

After just completing this game my first run through campaign mode I would have to say it's total bad ass. The years of hype came true and to me I feel fulfilled.

First off you don't take control of Captain Colonel Jan Templar of Alpha squad as he has since been promoted to Colonel. Newcomer Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko will be the guy under the players control. Sev is one of two new guys to the team the other being Corporal Dante Garza with returning Sgt. Rico Velasquez who is the leader of Alpha squad and Corporal Shawn Natko.

If you enjoy working as a team then you will get that. Mostly you'll be teamed with one other member or when going into a major assault like the final level, you'll be with the whole crew. Some points in the game you'll have to go solo but it won't be the entire level.

The weapons you can use are just really cool to handle. I was able to find pictures of all the weapons you can use which gives a description of each.

You'll also get the change of firing off a tank, set up guns posted by the enemies and even this gear that reminded a bit of Aliens where Ripley battled the Alien Queen except it has attached machine guns and missiles. You'll also get to use an air ships weapon that I really had a lot of fun messing with.

The whole game is just intense and you don't get much of a break between levels but no worries on any lack of weapon as you find weapons off the dead enemy soldiers or gun racks in some new areas you enter.

I played on easy and it definitively was not easy. I can't even think how hard it can get after the brutal time I spent going through hell trying to beat it. You'll get around ten levels to complete. Ten don't sound like a whole lot but you'll be kept busy the entire time through each I promise you.

If you love FPS games then this one is a must to have. Oh and like all FPS it does have online play. Haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it's a blast.

This game is a perfect ten for enjoyment.
